Key objectivesIn 2019, Macao had the honour to present the mega international art and cultural event, Art Macao, and Morning Studio was tasked to produce a multimedia content series to help reposition the city as a new hub of art & culture.
DeliverablesThe Morning Studio team developed seven pieces of content, which included an interactive map showcasing some of Macao’s sites — known and unknown — within food, culture and ‘off the beaten path’ experiences, as well as two videos featuring artists that showcased their pieces in the exhibition, and six articles highlighting Macanese art for Art Macao.
The channel stories collectively generated over 1.33 million pageviews, and the promotional banners on the SCMP.com site garnered 4.2 million impressions. On social media, the content reached over 4.24 million users, and was engaged with over 13,500 times. Art Macao attracted more than 16 million participants in 41 activities at 55 locations over the campaign period. Visitor arrivals totalled 2.76 million in September 2019 – an 8 per cent year-on-year increase – with visitors from Hong Kong and Taiwan rising by 27.2 per cent and 6.4 per cent respectively, according to data released by the Statistics and Census Service.
